Research Goals
This is a breakdown of the long and short-term goals and questions that our research team seeks to answer, and the associated scenarios that precipitate the need for such research.
Alternate Food Without The Sun Priorities
• Feasibility of fishing with ships retrofitted with sails (upwelling due to climate cooling if sun is blocked as well as fertilization).
• Feasibility of collecting agricultural residue and chewing it or making tea with it, and then giving the waste to cellulose digesters/mushrooms.
• Feasibility of collecting leaf litter for mushroom growth (including building temporary structures in the forest), with waste from mushrooms going to ruminants and rabbits.
• If human collection of leaves for mushroom growth is not feasible, feasibility of ruminants/rabbits eating the leaf litter in the forest.
• Feasibility of using manually operated jacks (i.e. car jacks) to squeeze edible material out of killed leaves.
• Feasibility of cutting down trees and drilling and sealing the holes for mushroom production on trees that have been cut down (including ramping drills and collecting polymer from landfills to seal).
• Attain a better estimate of stock of cellulose-digesting insects
